What changes the bill
Input tokens are what the model reads. Output tokens are what it writes. More of either means a larger charge. The model you choose matters too.
When a model runs, what you pay comes out of Fuel. The rate card and calculator show the rest of the lineup and let you estimate a run before it starts.
Why 30% to Bench?
Bench pays the model providers first. Once the tokens are burned, their bill is due.
If your payment fails after that, Bench still pays. Bench carries the loss.
The 30% covers that risk. What's left is a thin keep.
Rates checked 2026-08-29. Model providers can change their prices, so this post is dated on purpose.
